Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This position requires dedication and the ability to provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the CVICU, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond quickly to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, and balloon pumps.
• Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation as required.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop patient care plans.
• Float within units of equivalent or lower levels of acuity as needed.

Schedule

• 36 hours per week with night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00 - 07:30).
• Up to 6 weekend shifts in a 4-week scheduling period.
• Rotating holidays required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Strong skill set in IV starts, telemetry, ventilation management, Swan-Ganz catheter procedures, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines.
• Experience with electronic health record system EPIC is required.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
