We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate patient care in the Special Care Nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The primary goal of this role is to achieve wellness and recovery through assessment, evaluation, and treatment of patients.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse will conduct assessments, implement care plans, and deliver education tailored to patients' needs. In addition, collaboration with the healthcare team and effective delegation of tasks will be essential components of the role.

Essential Functions

• Conduct assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of patient care within the scope of practice.
• Provide patient education based on individual needs.
• Transcribe, utilize, and implement physician orders and protocols.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.

Experience

• Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred, with specific experience in a Special Care Nursery or NICU required.

Credentials

• Current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, maintained throughout employment.
• Current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, maintained throughout employment if applicable.
• Current, valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, maintained throughout employment if caring for pediatric patients.
• Current, valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, maintained throughout employment.
• Completion of Intermediate and Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring classes within specified timelines for labor and delivery nurses, if applicable.

Work Schedule

The position requires rotating shifts and holiday coverage as necessary.
