ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) is available. This position offers a chance to be part of a dynamic healthcare environment focused on providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Manage and coordinate patient care, ensuring adherence to protocols and best practices.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed.
• Assist with various medical procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Prior experience in an ICU setting is preferred but not mandatory for first-time travelers.
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must have a vehicle for transportation between facilities as required.

Position Details

• Floating between units may be required based on skill sets.
• This position requires weekend work, with at least every other weekend scheduled.
• Expected ratios are either 1:1 or 1:2 depending on patient acuity.
• No block schedules are offered.
• Charting is done using Epic.

Additional Information

• This is a night shift position, with three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
• Parking at the facility is free of charge.
• Travelers who float to specific locations may receive additional incentives.
