ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and possess the necessary certifications and skills to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs and intervening as necessary.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, including chemotherapy and complex medication regimens.
• Utilize computerized charting systems to document patient information accurately.
• Perform and assist with various medical procedures such as mechanical ventilation, central venous catheter placements, and arterial pressure monitoring.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Engage in ongoing assessment of patient conditions, adjusting care as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Pulmonary Hypertension

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the applicable state.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience.
• Proficient in IV starts and the management of ventilators.

Special Procedures/Unit Details

This unit deals primarily with hemodynamically compromised patients. Common treatments involve advanced critical care techniques, including:

• Mechanical ventilation
• Pulmonary artery catheter placement
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
• Cardiac and arterial pressure monitoring
• Placement of chest tubes and central venous catheters
• Management of clinical trials and plasmapheresis
• Endoscopic and bronchoscopic procedures
