Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in the emergency room. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing patient triage to determine priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the emergency care system.
• Utilizing time management skills effectively.
• Assisting with patient movement, taking blood samples, cleaning and bandaging wounds, administering medications, and maintaining adequate supplies.
• Conducting focused assessments of patients' chief complaints promptly, adhering to established triage guidelines.
• Delivering patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, while functioning within the limitations set by the Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado and have a minimum of two years of experience in critical care nursing. Specialty certifications for relevant areas are preferred.
