Registered Nurse (RN) - Bone Marrow Transplant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Registered Nurse with a specialization in Bone Marrow Transplant for our oncology unit. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing patients with hematological malignancies.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical and inpatient hematology oncology experience.
• Chemo certification is required.

Patient Diagnoses

• Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
• Acute Myeloid Leukemia (Adult)
• Amyloidosis
• Aplastic Anemia
• Chronic Leukemia
• Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)
• Chronic Myeloid (Myelogenous) Leukemia
• Hodgkin's Lymphoma
• Multiple Myeloma
• Myelodysplastic Syndrome
• Myeloproliferative Disorders
• Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

Special Procedures/Unit Details

• Autologous Transplants: Administration of the patient's own stem cells.
• Syngeneic Transplants: Administration of stem cells from an identical twin.
• Allogeneic Transplants: Administration of stem cells from a sibling, parent, or an unrelated donor.
• CAR-T Therapy: Specialized therapy for certain types of cancer.

Certifications Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification

Preferred Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Key Skills Required

• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Utilization of Rapid Response Teams
• Feeding tube care and management
• Blood product administration
• Central line blood draw and management
• PICC line management
• Nasal cannula administration
• Central line sterile dressing changes
• Chemotherapy administration

Shift Details

This position will require a commitment to a rotating 12-hour night shift schedule, with potential assignments on days or a combination thereof based on departmental needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every four-week scheduling period, though changes are not guaranteed.
