Position Summary

The Registered Nurse collaborates with healthcare team members to assess patient needs, implement care plans, and provide education to patients and their families. This role requires the initiation of appropriate interventions based on patient assessments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Nursing, Associate's degree, or Diploma
• Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• 18 months of registered nursing experience
• Preferred: Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
• Preferred: 1 year of circulating experience
• Preferred: 1 year of scrub experience

Essential Job Functions

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues.
• Identify expected outcomes for a patient-specific plan of care.
• Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to achieve expected outcomes.
• Implement the identified plan of care effectively.

Stroke Competency

• Complies with policies, procedures, and guidelines related to care for patients with hyperacute and acute stroke.
• Participates in two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease education within the first year of hire.
• Engages in one hour of annual cerebrovascular disease education thereafter.

Shift Information

This position requires flexibility to cover all shifts, including holiday coverage.
