Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Certified OR Technician / Surgical Technician (CST) to join our surgical services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support in the operating room and ensuring high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Manage surgical instruments, ensuring sterility and organization.
• Provide support to the surgical team during procedures.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment.
• Participate in on-call duties as required.

Work Schedule

This position requires a day shift of 3x12 hours from 07:00 to 19:00. Weekend shifts are required, and the candidate should be available for weekday on-call shifts, 16 hours once every 4 weeks, as well as a 24-hour weekend on-call commitment every 4 weeks.

Expected Ratios

The expected staff-to-patient ratio is 1:1.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Scrub Color

All colors of scrubs are acceptable, with the OR and Labor & Delivery provided specific scrubs. Laboratory personnel are expected to wear business-appropriate street clothes with a lab coat provided.
