Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves critical care nursing duties in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality patient care for individuals requiring intensive monitoring and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Monitor vital signs and manage complex medical equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
• Participate in floating to different units as required.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license required.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience is necessary.
• Charge experience is highly preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required.
• Availability to work every other weekend on night shifts, 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00).
• Local candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius.

Additional Information

First-time travelers may be considered for this position. The nurse-to-patient ratio in the ICU setting is typically 2-3 patients per nurse, promoting an environment focused on safe and effective care.
