Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessment based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnoses, and functional health frameworks.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage the care of patients.
• Document care based on standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
• Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Mother-Baby care required.

Education

• Required: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Certifications & Licensure

• BLS certification (must be AHA)
• NRP certification
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
• AWHONN-Advanced or C-EFM certification, required for specific facilities

Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• 3 shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• 3 out of 6 holidays required
• No on-call or float requirement
