Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist with neuro experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inpatient hospital settings, with experience in a variety of interventional procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
• Traveler experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Neuro experience and inpatient hospital experience
• Proficiency in PACS and contrast administration
• Experience with all IR procedures including:
  • Stents
  • Angioplasty
  • Angiograms
  • Nephrograms
  • Kyphoplasty
  • Peripherals
  • Biopsies
  • Drainages
  • Upper and lower extremity procedures
  • Abdominal and pelvic studies
  • Genitourinary studies
  • Vascular studies
  • Venous access and neurological studies
• Experience with Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required

Preferred Skills and Experience

• ARRT Advanced certification
• Experience with EPIC and McKesson systems
• Background in outpatient settings, operating room (OR), emergency room (ER), and level I trauma facilities
• Experience in teaching hospitals and community hospitals
• Experience with ablations

Job Details

The position works primarily first shift with staggered start times between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM for four 10-hour shifts from Monday through Friday. The day off will vary each week. The traveler will rotate through primary and backup call responsibilities with other team members to ensure round-the-clock coverage.

Call and Weekend Requirements

The traveler will have primary call approximately once every four weeks and a weekend call every 5th to 6th weekend. Backup call will be approximately 7 days, including a weekend, every 9 weeks. Weekend and evening/night call rotation is expected.

Patient Focus

The focus will be primarily on adult and geriatric patients, with some adolescent cases. Strong skills in both neuro procedures (including stroke intervention) and body procedures are necessary.

Daily Case Load

The expected daily case load will average between 13 to 17 cases per day.

Special Equipment Utilized

• Siemens and Phillips equipment
• Acuson systems preferred

Orientation and Compliance

Orientation will occur during the first week, and the traveler must be available for classes daily. Scrubs will be provided as part of the uniform policy.
