Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a full spectrum of surgical services, including elective and life-saving procedures across various specialties.
Shift Information
- 10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
- Non-consecutive working days with random days off from Monday to Friday
Weekend On-Call Requirements
- One weeknight of call every week from 7 PM to 11 PM
- One weekend on-call duty per month, rotating between:
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 7 PM to 7 AM
- Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 7 PM
Job Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse in this role will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures
- Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to infection control protocols
- Monitoring patient vitals and responding to any changes during procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required
- Experience in Orthopedic, General, Endo-Vascular, Urology, or OB is preferred
- Current Michigan nursing license verification is required
- BLS certification from AHA is mandatory
Attendance Policy
The organization has implemented a strict 3-strike attendance policy to ensure high standards of patient care. Any nurse who is absent from a scheduled shift or arrives more than 20 minutes late three times will face immediate termination. Exceptions for communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed favorably.
