As a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, the Operating Room Registered Nurse contributes professional and clinical expertise in the provision and management of patient care. This role involves working directly with patients undergoing surgical procedures in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Shift Information

Shifts may start at either 0615 or 0700 on most days. The nurse may be required to take call during the week only in the absence of lifestyle RNs, with an average of 3 to 4 weekend calls during a 12-week period, which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and some Fridays. A 40-hour work week is guaranteed.

Unit Specifics

This role primarily involves patient care for various surgical types, including:

• Orthopedic
• General Surgery
• Robotic Surgery
• Spine Surgery
• ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat)
• Gynecological Surgery

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room.
• Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Must be a mandatory reporter.
• Prior travel experience in the Operating Room is required.
• Robotics experience is required.
• CNOR certification is preferred.

Certifications

• Active ACLS certification.
• Active BLS certification.
