Registered Nurse (RN)

Department Overview

This opportunity encompasses roles within the Perioperative, Endoscopy, and Recovery phases of patient care. Candidates must demonstrate high proficiency in these specialties to be considered.

Schedule

• 10-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday
• Occasional Fridays when on call
• Daily shift hours may vary by department, typically operating 9-hour shifts

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

• Rotation for every 5th weekend
• Holidays as needed

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Assist with patient recovery from anesthesia following surgical and endoscopic procedures
• Perform assessments, monitor vital signs, and ensure patient safety during recovery
• Maintain and start IV lines as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote best patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in outpatient PACU
• Demonstrated experience in perioperative care
• Experience in endoscopy procedures
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience in critical access facilities is preferred
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle
• All requests for time off must be included in the profile during submission

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Vermont RN license or Compact license
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Active American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
