We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Intermediate Care Unit. The ideal candidate must possess a current Illinois nursing license and hold certifications in CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS. A graduate of an accredited nursing program is required, and education verification will be conducted.

Shift Information

Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Minimum Experience Required

• 2 years of nursing experience

Certifications/Requirements

• ACLS
• BLS/BCLS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in providing patient care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws.
• Documents care provided in compliance with standards.
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient care plans as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with hospital policies, including patient and family education.
• Participates in performance improvement activities within the department or unit, which may include shared governance.
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units or departments in support of patients’ longitudinal care plans.
• Utilizes critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, escalating issues through the appropriate chain of command as needed.
