IMPORTANT:

Incorporation of a strict attendance policy has been established to ensure the highest quality of care for our patient population. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or arrives more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift three times will face termination, effective immediately. Exceptions for communicable diseases or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor. This policy will commence on June 1, 2024.

Rehabilitation Services within the inpatient setting are provided by professionals with extensive knowledge of patients who are acutely ill across various life stages and multiple body systems. Utilizing clinical reasoning, we evaluate patients with unstable medical conditions, consider surgical interventions, collaborate with other health care professionals, and employ an evidence-based approach to tailor treatment plans. The results of our evaluations are critical in creating optimal care plans and identifying discharge considerations.

• Clinical Expertise: Collaborate with health care team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized written plans of care based on thorough physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual assessments that align with patient goals and evolving needs.

• Leadership/Credibility: Demonstrate leadership by sharing expertise, serving as a clinical resource, and acting as a professional role model.
• Communication: Exhibit effective communication through collegial relationships and interdisciplinary exchanges, utilizing the SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) communication model.
• Productivity: Show enhanced time management skills and support team performance by assisting colleagues when necessary.
• Perform additional duties consistent with the role as directed by specific competency-based objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of acute rehabilitation experience.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Active state license in Michigan at the time of application.
