Shift Information

Day shift on weekdays; every 3rd weekend evening shift.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a specialized training program in Radiological Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Experience: One year of experience preferred in performing radiological procedures in a hospital, clinic, or physician's office.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Understanding of radiologic equipment and procedures, including safety hazards common to radiology.
• Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Skill in identifying and troubleshooting equipment problems and performing simple adjustments.

License/Certification/Registration

• Registered with the ARRT in Radiology.
• Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.

Essential Functions

• Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures to ensure understanding.
• Perform diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians accurately and timely.
• Utilize proper identification methods to verify patients before examinations.
• Assist with the operation of various radiographic equipment and perform appropriate start-up and shut-down procedures.
• Document patient symptoms, history, imaging limitations, and study details accurately in the patient management system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Promote radiation safety practices in accordance with ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
• Perform clerical duties related to patient management and assist in office tasks when needed.

Non-Essential Functions

• Perform related and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
