Description
Job Description
The role of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing nuclear medicine techniques to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
Shift Details
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Scheduled to work 40 hours per week, with a guaranteed 36 hours
- No weekend or on-call requirements
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for clinical procedures.
- Conduct imaging procedures and ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
- Perform venipuncture as needed for contrast media injections.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment, including GE machines.
- Document procedures and patient information accurately using EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-year experience in nuclear medicine; CT experience is a plus.
- New York State license required.
- ARRT (N) or CNMT/NMTCB certification required.
- Prior travel experience is strongly encouraged.
- Must have personal vehicle for transportation.
Additional Requirements
- Completed training from either Welle or CPI for onboarding and clearance as of January 1, 2024.
- A maximum of 5 days of requested time off will be accepted.
- Personal scrubs required, without designs or cartoons, and no hoodies permitted.
