Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

As a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler Registered Nurse (RN) will leverage their professional and clinical expertise in providing and managing patient care. This role requires collaboration and flexibility, as the traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across various locations.

Shift Notes

• Start Time: 1845
• Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend
• On Call Requirements: No call

Essential Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care in a Med Surg/Telemetry setting.
• Manage and administer drips including cardiac, heparin, and insulin, with some titration.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning.

Orientation Schedule

Orientation sessions are conducted every Monday.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele required.
• First-time travelers are accepted with at least 3 years of nursing experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC, is required.
• Current state license in Iowa is required.
• Must not have been an employee in the last 12 months.

Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• NIHSS
• ACLS (AHA)
