Job Description

• Attendance Policy: Attendance is critical to meet patient care needs. A strict attendance policy will be implemented, with strikes given for absences, arriving late, or leaving shifts early without prior authorization.
• Patient Monitoring: Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to track vital signs, telemetry, and critical metrics.
• Assessment & Intervention: Perform regular assessments, recognize subtle changes in patient conditions, and implement necessary interventions or life-saving measures.
• Medication Management: Administer complex medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips as ordered.
• Specialized Care: Care for patients recovering from surgery, cardiac events, or those with complex conditions (e.g., ventilated patients, stroke patients requiring neurological checks).
• Collaboration: Work with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists) to develop and implement effective care plans.
• Education: Educate patients and families on diseases, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing care and patient responses.

Qualifications

• 2 years of RN experience in Stepdown/Progressive Care
• Telemetry monitoring experience
• Cerner experience

Certification Requirements

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)

Licensure Requirements

• Active Michigan state RN license required at the time of submission
