Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cath Lab team. The ideal candidate will have solid clinical experience in cardiac care and relevant nursing skills.

Shift Notes

• Days: 5x8 hour shifts, starting between 7:00 and 7:30 AM, concluding around 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• May float to Cardiac & Vascular Holding as needed

Holiday Requirements

Contractors are expected to work 1-2 of the designated upcoming Summer holidays unless the unit is closed. The holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

Unit Information

• Bed Size: 2 procedure rooms and 3 pre/post bays
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:3
• Patient Types: Focus on non-invasive cardiology procedures such as TEE, cardioversions, and stress testing, including pre/post-operative care.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 24 months of experience in a cardiac, catheterization, or vascular setting is required.
• First-time travelers may be considered with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Pre/post-operative experience is required.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures is needed.
• Prior experience with EPIC EMR is required.
• Must have TEE (Transesophageal Echo) experience.
• Cardioversion experience is required; stress testing experience is preferred.

Certification Requirements

• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.

Additional Requirements

• Must provide a valid Driver’s License.
• Work history must show 24 months of recent nursing experience in pre/post-operative or cardiac settings.
• A professional reference or performance evaluation from a charge nurse, supervisor, or director within the past 24 months is preferred.
