Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This position involves working three 12-hour shifts over the weekend, providing critical respiratory care across diverse patient populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent respiratory care, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, airway management, and assistance with intubations.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation.
• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment as directed by the physician.
• Utilize pulmonary function tests (PFTs) as necessary.
• Address varied challenges in patient care across different settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Valid certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Proficiency in using various modalities including ventilators, positive airway pressure (PAP) devices, and high-flow oxygen therapies.
• Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic medical records system.
• Willingness to learn new skills such as home sleep testing and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Preferred: At least 6 months of travel experience.
• Valid Vermont RRT license.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and responsibilities.
• Must have personal transportation for duties as needed.

Additional Information

• Business casual or personal scrubs are acceptable as per dress code.
• Must be available to work during designated holiday periods and take no more than 5 days of requested time off.
• Orientation: Non-billable orientation lasting 8 hours will be provided.
• High standards of attendance are expected; excessive call-offs may lead to contract cancellation.
