Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to pediatric patients across various specialties, including Hematology/Oncology, Medical-Surgical, and more.

Shift Details

• Nights: 7 PM - 7 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Holiday Rotation: Required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• On Call: Possible during low census from 11 PM - 7 AM

Unit Details

• Patient Types: Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Medical-Surgical, and all Pediatric specialties
• Floating: May float to the Pediatric Emergency Department to care for patients awaiting inpatient beds
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:2-4
• Bed Size: 14

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience within the past 18 months (required)
• Hematology/Oncology experience (required)
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records within the past 12 months (required)
• Ability to float to the Emergency Department (required)
• Must have completed at least one travel contract within the past 18 months (required)
• APHON certification (required)

Profile Requirements

• Work history/resume must demonstrate 24 months of Pediatric and/or Oncology experience (required)
• Skills checklist must be specific to Pediatric/Oncology nursing (required)
• Active Iowa Nursing License or compact/multistate license (required)
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nursing manager/director within the past 24 months (preferred)
• Driver’s License (required)
• AHA BLS certification (required)
• AHA PALS certification (required)
• APHON certification documentation (required)
