Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to deliver quality patient care through radiation therapy treatments. The ideal candidate will perform treatment simulations, fabricate necessary shielding blocks, and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR). This role involves preparing equipment for patient treatments, conducting quality control and assurance tests, and adhering to optimal radiation safety and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients according to established protocols.
• Conduct treatment simulations and fabricate necessary shielding blocks.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR).
• Prepare and operate equipment safely and effectively while adhering to quality control protocols.
• Ensure proper infection control techniques are implemented.
• Work collaboratively with medical staff to provide interdisciplinary patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
• At least 1 year of travel experience or post-graduation work experience with Varian and ARIA.
• Experience with TrueBeam, ARIA, and Trilogy systems is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Work Schedule

This position has a 40-hour guarantee and typically operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential for 4/10 shifts. No weekend or on-call requirements are expected.

Attendance Policy

Please note that a strict attendance policy is in place, where any employee who is absent from a scheduled shift or arrives more than 20 minutes late three times will be subject to immediate termination. Exceptions may be made for circumstances like communicable diseases or hospitalization, provided supporting evidence is submitted.
