Job Description

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse (RN) contributes professional and clinical knowledge as well as skills in the provision and management of patient care.

Shift Details

• Start Time: 7:00 PM
• Shifts: 12 hours
• 36-hour guarantee
• Every third weekend requirement
• Floating within the same discipline may be required

Winter Holiday Schedule

The RN will be required to work two of the three winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day). There will be a limit of one day request off between the following dates: November 25-29 and December 23-27.

Unit Specifics

• Types of patients/surgeries: orthopedic, urology, general surgery, oncology, medical
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg and/or Oncology experience (required)
• High-acuity care experience preferred
• Experience administering drips such as Heparin, PCA, and epidural (required); chemotherapy experience preferred if certified
• First-time travelers are welcome; prior travel experience is preferred

Certification Requirements

• Active BLS (AHA preferred but will also accept ARC or US Military certificates)
• Active ACLS (AHA preferred but will also accept ARC or US Military certificates)
• Active NIHSS (can be obtained during onboarding)

Employee Policies

Any past employee who has worked in the float pool or has been a Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) cannot work travel in another market for the next 12 months. If the employee worked travel previously, the separation policy does not apply.
