PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in preoperative and postoperative care, contributing to the health and recovery of our patients.

Shift Information

Night shift position with rotating shifts between closing and opening hours, from 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM. Availability for weekdays and weekends is required.

Minimum Requirements

• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Experience in Preoperative and Postoperative care required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR system required
• Experience in Level 1 trauma and outpatient settings preferred
• PACU experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Patient Care Details

The nurse's patient ratio will be maintained at 1:1, ensuring personalized attention and care for each patient.

Unit Overview

This position involves caring for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to:

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repair
• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
• Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)
• Femoral-Popliteal and Femoral-Tibial-Peroneal Bypass surgeries
• Angiography
• Pulmonary decortication
• Ablation procedures
