As a vital member of our Emergency Department (ED), Registered Nurses (RNs) play a crucial role in providing care for patients in urgent need. The ideal candidate will be equipped to handle a wide variety of emergency situations for patients of all ages, demonstrating quick, decisive actions in trauma circumstances.

Job Summary:

• Assess and triage incoming patients with physical and mental health conditions.
• Prioritize patient needs based on urgency and severity of conditions.
• Deliver specialized and innovative nursing services in high-pressure environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience in an Emergency Department environment.
• Recent ED experience within the last six months.
• Demonstrated performance and nursing practice skills.
• Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to create effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform diverse nursing services competently.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Education and Certifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA certified.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Telemetry certification.
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• 4 hours of CEU Contact Stroke training.

Work Schedule:

The position requires a commitment to working 3 x 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and three holidays annually.
