Position Overview

The role of a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room involves providing critical medical care to patients experiencing severe health conditions caused by illnesses or injuries. Emergency departments operate around the clock, requiring healthcare professionals to be prepared to address urgent medical situations at any time, day or night.

Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Assessing patients presenting with symptoms of serious conditions such as stroke or heart attack.
• Managing care for patients experiencing seizures, loss of consciousness, or severe injuries.
• Addressing emergencies involving significant bleeding, deep cuts, or severe burns.
• Treating patients with severe abdominal pain or other acute medical issues.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in the Emergency Department.
• Certification in ACLS, TNCC (not ENPC), BLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) is required.
• A valid and active RN license in the state of Michigan at the time of submission.

Work Schedule

This position requires 12-hour shifts with a guarantee of 36 hours per week. Nurses are expected to work every other weekend.

As part of the emergency healthcare team, you will play a vital role in responding to urgent medical situations, ensuring patients receive timely and effective treatment. This position does not involve on-call requirements.
