Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with a diverse clinical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care and support during surgical procedures across various specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care.
• Participate in various surgical procedures including but not limited to General OR, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, and Ortho cases.
• Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a sterile environment and uphold safety protocols during surgeries.
• Respond to medical emergencies and administer care as needed.
• Document all procedures and patient interactions accurately in accordance with established protocols.

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a surgical or operating room setting.
• Competency in phlebotomy and IV placement is required.
• Experience with diverse surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
  • General and Laparoscopic surgeries
  • Thoracic procedures such as Lung resection, Mediastinoscopy
  • Orthopedic procedures including Total joint replacement and Spinal Fusion
  • Gynecological and Urological surgeries
  • Neurosurgical procedures including Craniotomy and Spinal surgeries
• Experience with EPIC preferred.

Work Schedule

The position requires a mid-shift schedule of 4x10 hours (13:00 - 23:30) with call duties as needed. Minimal request time off (RTO) is expected, and block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed.

Additional Information

• Scrubs will be teal in color.
• This role does not accept first-time travelers.
• Call is a necessary part of this position.
