Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical for night shifts. This role entails floating across multiple locations to provide care in like units.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a 22-bed unit.
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6, delivering care for general medical-surgical cases, including renal, transplant, and urology patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in holiday rotations and be prepared to work Thanksgiving and other winter holidays as required, unless the unit is closed.
• Float to various locations as needed, adhering to established protocols and policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Strong experience in renal and urology care is required.
• Proficient in transplant care is essential.
• At least one completed travel contract within the past 15 months.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is required.
• Experience in Level II trauma is required, while Level I trauma experience is highly preferred.
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license is required.

Additional Information

Work attire will consist of navy blue scrubs. Orientation dates are available on the specified upcoming dates. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling, including weekend commitments every third weekend.
