Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work independently, demonstrating expertise in invasive and non-invasive ventilation, as well as airway management.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment used in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases.
• Perform procedures such as drawing arterial blood gases (ABGs), assisting with intubations, and managing patients on mechanical ventilation.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests (PFTs); familiarity is preferred but negotiable.
• Work under the supervision of the Technical Director of Respiratory Therapy and in collaboration with physicians to provide quality care.
• Address and solve problems independently in diverse patient care settings.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of current Registered Respiratory Therapy experience.
• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification required.
• Proficient in working independently with ventilators, various Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) modalities, and high-flow oxygen.
• Willingness to learn new skills, including home sleep testing and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• At least 6 months of previous travel experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) is required.
• Travelers must have their own vehicle and include their permanent address in their profile.

Work Schedule:

The position requires availability for three 12-hour night shifts per week, with a weekend commitment of every other weekend and holidays as needed. Specific holiday shifts are required during major holidays, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Patient Population:

This role will involve working with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients.

Dress Code:

Business casual attire or personal scrubs of any color are acceptable in the workplace.

Orientation:

A non-billable orientation session lasting 8 hours will be provided prior to the start of the assignment.

Attendance Policy:

Please be aware of the attendance policy, which stipulates that after three call-offs, a traveler’s contract may be subject to termination at the discretion of management.
