We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our healthcare team. This role involves working on a night shift schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week, with a holiday rotation and weekend requirements. The ideal candidate will be able to work in all areas of the hospital, including the Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and neonatal units.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and interventions for patients requiring respiratory care.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and therapies, including mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Respond to emergency situations with appropriate interventions in critical care settings.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and treatment options.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of experience in a hospital or critical access setting.
• Must possess active certifications including ACLS, BLS, NRP, and NBRC.
• Experience with Drager Vents, Airvo, V60s, and NKV-330s is required.
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience is preferred.
• All certifications and licenses must be current and valid.

Additional Information

Candidates must be located outside of the local radius of 50 miles from the facility. The selected candidate will be required to work 1-2 of the three upcoming winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day). This position is an excellent opportunity for first-time travelers.
