Job Summary

Our Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurses are essential in providing critical care to patients during urgent situations. ED RNs are prepared to manage a range of emergency conditions for individuals of all ages, ensuring that each patient receives prompt and effective care. Nurses in our ED are highly trained to handle various trauma situations that require quick and decisive actions.

Key Responsibilities

• Quickly and accurately assess incoming patients presenting with both physical and mental health conditions.
• Prioritize patients' injuries and medical needs effectively.
• Deliver specialized nursing services tailored to the emergency department environment.
• Develop and implement effective nursing care plans based on clinical knowledge and analytical abilities.
• Communicate compassionately and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Required Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 18 months of nursing experience in an emergency department setting.
• Recent ED experience within the past six months is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical performance and nursing practices.
• Ability to perform various professional nursing tasks with a high degree of competency.

Education & Certifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS).
• Continuous Education Unit (CEU) Contact Stroke - 4 hours.
• Telemetry certification.

Schedule Requirements

This position involves working three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with expectations to work three out of six holidays and every other weekend.
