PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Join our dynamic team as a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN), where you will play an essential role in providing high-quality patient care before and after surgical procedures. Your expertise will contribute to positive patient outcomes in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in the PreOperative and PostAnesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Monitor patient vitals and recovery status, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Document patient assessments and responses accurately in accordance with protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery processes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Experience in Pre/Post anesthesia care is required; PACU experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system is required.
• Previous exposure to Level 1 trauma and outpatient settings is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.

Patient Care Ratio:

The typical patient care ratio is 1:1, allowing for focused and personalized nursing care.

Unit Details:

You will be working with patients undergoing various procedures, including:

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repair
• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
• Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)
• Femoral-Popliteal and Femoral-Tibial-Peroneal Bypass
• Angiograms
• Pulmonary decortication
• Ablation procedures
