Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Speech Language Pathologist for an assignment starting as soon as possible. This position involves working in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, and swing bed facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in treating diverse patient populations, including individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, and progressive neurological diseases.

• Call Requirements: None
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 Hours per 2 weeks, with occasional cancellation for shifts

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing speech therapy services across various settings.
• Assessing and treating patients with communication disorders.
• Working with patient populations affected by conditions such as aphasia and apraxia.
• Implementing treatment plans to meet individual patient needs.
• Documenting patient progress using electronic health records (Epic).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.
• Required certifications: BLS, NBCOT, and AK License.
• Experience and skills in Dementia Management, IDDSI, and a variety of speech and language disorders.
• Ability to treat patients in outpatient, acute care, and long-term care settings.
• Motivated with the capability to transition to independent patient treatment.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge in treating conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and Muscular Dystrophy.
• Experience with coma stimulation, anoxia, developmental delays, and autism.
• Experience working with pediatric and adolescent populations.

Housing Information

• Housing is provided for travelers during the assignment.
• Units are typically 1-bedroom apartments, which may be shared with another traveler.
• PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
• Housing is available for move-in no earlier than 72 hours before the contract begins and no longer than 24 hours after it ends.
• Units must be cleaned upon departure to avoid additional cleaning fees.
