About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a travel contract assignment. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered occupational therapy services that promote independence and functional performance.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as established by the supervising Occupational Therapist

• Provide hands-on therapy to improve patients’ ability to perform activities of daily living

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report progress to the Occupational Therapist

• Document treatments provided and maintain accurate, timely patient records

• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic activities and safety techniques

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members

• Ensure compliance with facility policies and all state and federal regulations

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of assignment

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Current BLS certification

• Previous experience in [SNF / LTC / Hospital / Outpatient] preferred
