About the Job
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team for 13-week contract assignments. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while gaining experience in a variety of clinical settings.
Responsibilities
Work under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans
Assist patients with therapeutic activities aimed at improving independence in activities of daily living
Provide hands-on therapy to support functional mobility, strength, coordination, and safety
Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to support optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and caregivers on techniques and strategies to encourage continued progress
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility policies and state and federal regulations
Ensure a safe, organized therapy environment and proper use of equipment
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of assignment
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred (SNF/LTC experience a plus)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and patient populations
