About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team for contract assignments. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered care while gaining experience in a variety of clinical settings.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance of a Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans

  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility interventions

  • Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to support optimal patient outcomes

  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and strategies for continued progress

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility policies and state and federal regulations

  • Ensure a safe, organized therapy environment and proper use of equipment

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program

  • Current PTA license in the state of assignment

  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred (SNF/LTC experience a plus)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and patient populations

  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
