About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist (Hand Therapist) to join our outpatient rehabilitation team in Fairfield. In this role, you will specialize in the evaluation and treatment of upper extremity conditions, helping patients regain strength, function, and independence following injury, surgery, or chronic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity conditions

• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on restoring range of motion, strength, coordination, and function

• Fabricate and fit custom orthoses/splints as needed

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and modalities

• Educate patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies

• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Ensure compliance with all state regulations and clinic policies

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of employment

• Experience in hand therapy required

• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred (or eligibility to obtain)

• Strong manual therapy and splint fabrication skills

• Excellent communication and patient care skills
