About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join an Inpatient Rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver hands-on, patient-centered care focused on restoring mobility, strength, and functional independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist

• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance work, and functional mobility

• Support patients recovering from neurological, orthopedic, or medically complex conditions

• Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the Physical Therapist

• Provide patient and caregiver education on exercises, safety, and mobility strategies

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team including PT, OT, SLP, nursing, and physicians

• Ensure a safe and organized therapy environment

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

• Active PTA license in the state of assignment

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred

• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills

• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and patient populations
