About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join an Inpatient Rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver hands-on, patient-centered care focused on restoring mobility, strength, and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance work, and functional mobility
Support patients recovering from neurological, orthopedic, or medically complex conditions
Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the Physical Therapist
Provide patient and caregiver education on exercises, safety, and mobility strategies
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team including PT, OT, SLP, nursing, and physicians
Ensure a safe and organized therapy environment
Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Active PTA license in the state of assignment
Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and patient populations
Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
