Description
Physical Therapist (PT) – Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF)
We are seeking a motivated and clinically skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join an inpatient rehabilitation team focused on intensive, goal-oriented recovery. This role provides the opportunity to work with patients recovering from stroke, traumatic injury, neurological conditions, orthopedic surgery, and other complex medical diagnoses.
The PT will perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility, improving functional independence, and preparing patients for safe discharge home or to the next level of care. This setting requires strong clinical reasoning, adaptability, and the ability to manage a dynamic caseload in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed physical therapy evaluations and establish individualized plans of care
Deliver intensive therapy services focused on gait training, balance, transfers, strengthening, and endurance
Treat patients with neurological, orthopedic, and medically complex conditions
Utilize evidence-based interventions and outcome measures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including OT, SLP, nursing, physicians, and case management
Participate in care planning meetings and discharge planning
Supervise and direct PTAs in accordance with state practice guidelines
Complete accurate and timely documentation in EMR
Ideal Candidate:
Active PT license in practicing state
Inpatient rehab or acute care experience preferred
Strong clinical decision-making skills
Comfortable working in a team-based, high-intensity therapy environment
