Description

We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech therapy services to patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy interventions while maintaining compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized speech therapy treatment plans.

  • Implement treatment plans and select appropriate therapy modalities to meet established goals.

  • Provide speech therapy treatments to improve communication, speech, language, and swallowing abilities.

  • Monitor patient progress and assist with discharge planning when appropriate.

  • Conduct therapeutic patient activities and maintain accurate patient records.

  • Ensure therapy services meet age-specific, cultural, and rehabilitative needs.

  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, licensing, accreditation standards, and the Speech Therapy Practice Act.

  • Delegate treatment procedures appropriately when required.

  • Maintain department productivity standards.

  • Provide thorough, timely, and professional patient care.

  • Follow Code of Conduct and compliance policies and report any concerns when necessary.

Required Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

  • Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, modalities, and treatment programs appropriate for the patients served

Education

  • Required: Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology

Licensure / Certification

  • Required: Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of assignment

  • Required: American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification

Experience

  • Required: Minimum 1 year of experience

  • Preferred: Hospital or healthcare experience
