Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist / Certified Hand Therapist (OT/CHT) to join our team. The OT/CHT will evaluate and treat patients with hand and upper extremity conditions, helping individuals restore function, reduce pain, and improve overall quality of life. This role involves working with patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and orthopedic conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremities.

We will consider an Occupational Therapist who is not a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) but has prior hand therapy experience.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans for hand and upper extremity conditions
  • Provide therapeutic interventions including exercises, manual therapy, splinting, and functional activities
  • Treat conditions involving the hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremities
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Educate patients and caregivers on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and recovery strategies
  • Fabricate and fit custom splints or orthotic devices as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on restoring function and independence

Requirements

  • Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Required: Active Occupational Therapist license in state of practice or ability to obtain
  • Preferred: Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential
  • Will Consider: Occupational Therapists with prior hand therapy experience who are not yet CHT-certified
  • Preferred: Previous outpatient or orthopedic rehabilitation experience
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
