Description
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, school-based position at Riverdale Elementary. This role will support an intensive preschool classroom serving students ages 3–5 within a collaborative early childhood special education environment.
The SLP will work directly alongside an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to support communication development and functional outcomes for preschool-aged students.
Position Details
- Location: Riverdale Elementary
- Schedule: Full-time
- Setting: Intensive Preschool Classroom
- Student Population: Ages 3–5
- Caseload: Small caseload with approximately 5 students in AM class and 5 students in PM class
- Environment: 100% classroom-based setting
Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy services for preschool-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Support students with speech, language, articulation, social communication, and developmental communication needs
- Collaborate closely with the Early Childhood Special Education Teacher and multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy interventions as appropriate
- Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
Requirements
- Required: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Required: Active SLP license in state of practice or ability to obtain
- Preferred: Previous school-based or early childhood experience
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a classroom-based team environment
