We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a contract assignment at a healthcare facility. The Respiratory Therapist will assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and respiratory treatments as prescribed
• Operate and monitor ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and other respiratory equipment
• Perform diagnostic testing, including pulmonary function testing and arterial blood gas collection when applicable
• Evaluate patient response to treatment and communicate findings to the healthcare team
• Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment use
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care

Requirements

• Required: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Required: Active Respiratory Therapist (RT/RRT) license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
• Required: Current BLS Certification
• Preferred: Previous respiratory therapy experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
