Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Maternity Leave Coverage

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide maternity leave coverage in Daytona Beach, FL. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

This is a great opportunity to join an established therapy team and provide continuity of care during a temporary coverage assignment.

Position Details

• Location: Daytona Beach, Florida
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Assignment Type: Maternity Leave Coverage
• Start Date: November 1

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized speech therapy treatment plans
• Provide therapy services for speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and caregivers on communication strategies and swallowing safety
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility guidelines
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in discharge planning and provide recommendations for continued therapy services
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on positive patient outcomes

Requirements

• Required: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Required: Active SLP license in the state of practice or ability to obtain
• Preferred: Previous speech therapy or healthcare experience
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
