Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week contract assignment at a healthcare facility. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality therapy services that help patients improve functional abilities, increase independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
- Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, coordination, strength, and functional performance
- Monitor patient progress during treatment sessions and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, home exercise programs, and safety strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
- Prepare treatment areas and maintain therapy equipment in a safe and organized manner
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting positive rehabilitation outcomes
Requirements
- Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Required: Active COTA license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
- Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
- Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt effectively to new clinical environments and patient populations
