Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week contract assignment at a healthcare facility. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.
This is an excellent opportunity to expand your clinical experience while working alongside a supportive rehabilitation team. Candidates traveling with another Speech-Language Pathologist are encouraged to apply, as the facility has multiple openings and prefers an SLP/SLP travel pair. Individual applicants will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized speech therapy treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Provide therapy services for speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on communication strategies, swallowing safety, and home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Participate in discharge planning and provide recommendations for continued therapy services when appropriate
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional therapy environment
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on improving communication, swallowing function, and overall quality of life
Requirements
- Required: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Required: Active SLP license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
- Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
- Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt effectively to new clinical environments and patient populations
