Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will provide comprehensive speech and language services to patients, evaluating and treating communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of professional SLP experience and previous PCC experience. Candidates should be patient-focused, adaptable, and committed to providing high-quality, individualized care.

- Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Assess and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders as appropriate
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical needs
- Provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve communication, swallowing function, and overall independence
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, swallowing safety, compensatory techniques, and home programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Utilize PCC effectively for clinical documentation and patient records
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Participate in care planning and discharge planning as appropriate
- Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-centered treatment environment
- Provide compassionate care while working toward individualized patient goals
Requirements
- Required: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Required: Active SLP license in the state of practice or ability to obtain
- Required: Minimum 1 year of professional SLP experience
- Required: Previous PCC experience
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), where applicable
- Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
Important Start Requirement
- Candidates must arrive in New Mexico at least 48 hours prior to the assignment start date to complete required fingerprinting.
- Applicants should plan their travel accordingly to ensure all required pre-employment requirements are completed before their start date.
