We are seeking a dedicated Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week travel assignment. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide skilled occupational therapy services designed to help patients improve functional abilities, independence, strength, coordination, and performance of daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist.

• Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, coordination, balance, mobility, and functional abilities.

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and other functional tasks.

• Provide training in adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and equipment as directed by the OT.

• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress or changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs, safety techniques, and strategies to promote independence.

• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Collaborate with the supervising OT and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Assist patients in working toward established therapy goals.

• Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional treatment environment.

• Adapt effectively to new facilities, clinical teams, and patient populations throughout the assignment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

• Active COTA license in the assignment state or ability to obtain one.

• Previous COTA experience preferred.

• Current BLS certification may be required depending on the facility.

• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a travel healthcare environment.
